La .270 Weath. Mag. nasce anche essa dalla .300H&H se pur si crede sia stata fatta per dare maggiore potenza alla più famosa .270 Win.
Nata nel 1943, entrò a far parte delle cartucce Weatherby di grande successo, in Europa è adatta a quasi tutta la caccia, compresa la piccola selvaggina, mantenendo un rinculo dell'arma molto inferiore a quello della .300WM.
